The hall has a capacity of 6.800 and although it is used mainly for basketball events it can be used for badminton, gymnastics, karate, taekwondo, handball, squash, volleyball, judo, fencing, table tennis and musical concerts. It has hosted several great basketball events such as the European Saporta Cup Final 1997 and FIBA All Star Game in 2005 as well as other cultural competitions like Miss Universe 2000.
The stadium is situated in Nicosia the capital of Cyprus and with very close proximity of supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, other shopping areas, the National Exhibition Centre and Apolloneion Private Hospital. The stadium is part of a sports complex which includes other sports halls other surrounding football pitches, an archery field and the offices of Cyprus Sport Organisation.
